Charlotte is terrible. I estimate about 40% of city-wide architectural staff is currently laid off. NO one is hiring. I was laid off in mid January, however lay-offs begun as early as last August and continue to date.

I can tell you that the Gulf Coast of Florida- for that matter the rest of the state as far as new projects are concerned- are "dead on water"- Many water front properties are up for sale, ( including my townhome w/boat slip in Panacea) , but not many takers.
Wish the news was better.
