Great to hear, and stick with it as it appears you have the eye for talent. I will motivate beyond the 2D by taking sum inspiration out your pagebook, as it about time that I step it up with architecture. I've been pursuing my musical talents as a live performing disk jockey, check out my other site for free cd downloads, hope you remain positive and that you enjoy sharing music. Frank Lloyd Wright once wrote: "architecture is frozen music"
You use words like easy and fun, and that means that if you've chosen a profession that you enjoy you never work another day in your life; and for that I honor you. I am trying to get back in front of those clients that have the great projects, so for now I am working with minimal and I am not enjoying myself. I do have a workshop CD called "Photoshop for Architects", yet every time that I mention the word render, it appears that this work is considered pro-bono during this phase in our economy, so I am stuck performing hand renderings without color. You should hold a seminar to educate your process, as I would very much enjoy attending. Spawning from your positive attitude I'd pull serious inspiration alone, so thanks again for the words.
I use sketchup to a certain level, then export into another program(s); yet I feel that this is how one remains behind the computer for endless hours. I've done this to a level, and wish that I still had the patience to commit the hours. So, if in your original question when inquiring about Photorealistic renderings, I assume you are asking for sake of sharing knowledge, yes? Do you model these renderings from start to finish by your one person?
